The Celebrating the Beat the Odds Class of 2021: A Year of Resilience Children’s Defense Fund-New York will honor eight incredibly resilient New York City high school seniors. Our scholars are stellar students, powerful community leaders, and fierce advocates. We want to invite you to help us celebrate these resilient students.
Although we celebrate each graduating class, this cohort is especially deserving of recognition. Their last two years in high school have brought more challenges than our scholars could have ever anticipated.
Graduating and starting the next chapter of their lives amid a national crisis is no easy feat. We hope to gather our community on Monday, June 28, at 6 pm to celebrate them. You can RSVP digitally to attend and support!
Donate to Support BTO Scholars
Please join us in lifting up all our students by giving a gift to ensure our Beat the Odds scholars and advocates receive a quality, equitable education and the tools they need to graduate. Your donation also ensures that the CDF-NY office continues to advocate for equitable policies that help children and families thrive.
You can also make a donation to CDF-NY to celebrate someone in your life. If you have a graduate in your life—your own child, relative, or a family friend—check the box to give in their name as a meaningful graduation gift.
We will send your honoree a special note letting them know about your generous gift in their honor.
