The last few years have proven to be particularly challenging in disenfranchised communities and for immigrant children in New York and around the country. However, our resolve has intensified, and we remain optimistic that in this rich and diverse country, the CDF mission to ensure that no child is left behind, homeless, without adequate food, safe schools or health care will come to pass. As we advance our policy priorities that invest in children’s health and well-being, reduce youth contact with the criminal justice and child welfare systems, and promote safe and supportive schools in New York this legislative session, we thank all our steadfast partners who have collaborated with us throughout the years. Together we can level the playing field for all children, paving the way for them to reach their fullest potential.
